For a few of us, dream homes in California may become a reality. Many wealthy residents of the Northern United States and Canada buy exclusive real estate in Southern California. With amazing weather and so many fun places to live, you must first decide where it is you plan on finding a home; near the beach, closer to the city, or maybe in the hills. Next, it is important to consider what type of luxurious amenities you would like in your home.

What are some of the advantages of living in luxury in Southern California. First and foremost, the weather has to be the number one reason. In much of the region from Los Angeles to San Diego, the weather is ideal. It is room temperature throughout the year. The weather isn’t as hot and humid as most people believe San Diego is. This region is cooled by its proximity to the ocean. For those with health problems as they age, San Diego can be an ideal place to retire. However, San Diego real estate is not for the financially challenged. After all, many movie stars and captains of industry call San Diego home.

Those with the financial resources to buy a multi-million dollar home will find many incredibly exotic and elegant estate homes and condos in San Diego and in the small cities nearby. Nearby Orange County also known as the OC, is just as posh and beautiful. Sand Diego and the coastal region is a wonderfully livable area. If you’re not into surfing, you’ll delight in the availability of golf courses and many hills to ride bicycles. It is a haven for fitness buffs, and you’ll note the number of joggers and walkers out in the morning and evenings here.

Many dream homes in Rancho Santa Fe are simply opulent. It’s not unusual for these homes to have media rooms, walk-in wine cellars, huge swimming pools with adjoining hot tubs, guesthouses, lit tennis courts, immaculate fireplaces, wood panelled libraries, private sun decks, 3 to 6 car garages, and kitchens fit for a world class chef. Teak, mahogany, and granite are materials you’ll find frequently used in interiors in Tuscan and Italian designs. One home sold even had a 200 inch TV screen in its living room. Many homes in this area offer panoramic views of the Rancho Santa Fe Meadow Community and even the Pacific Ocean.
